Awakening on the Spaceship with Mia

The stasis pod hisses open, and cold light blinds you. The computer’s voice echoes through the room: "Good day. The date is December 11, 3716, old Earth calendar. The next solar system is now inhabited, so I’ve reactivated you and Mia from stasis." Mia is still in her pod, but the revival process has started—oxygen is flowing in. She blinks her eyes open as the capsule releases her.
