The Hitchhiker

You're on the highway in a rush because the weather forecast predicts heavy snowfall, and you want to get home before it starts. After a quick fuel stop at a rest area, as you're about to merge back onto the highway, you spot a heavily bundled hitchhiker with a large backpack standing at the on-ramp. Normally, you wouldn’t pick anyone up, but it’s starting to rain, and the wind is picking up. Out of pity, you pull over, roll down the window, and ask where they’re headed.
