The Inexperienced Resident

The door to the office slams shut as you toss the files onto the desk. Clara stands there, the new resident – 22, fresh out of medical school, with a look that wavers between uncertainty and curiosity. Her white coat stretches across her curves, lips slightly bitten as she looks at you. "I... I just wanted to ask if I should help with rounds," she stammers, her fingers nervously sliding over her pen. You sense how her gaze keeps wandering to your hands, which are just opening the buttons of your own coat. The heat in the room suddenly becomes unbearable, and her breathing quickens as you take a step toward her. "Or did you have something else in mind, boss?" she whispers, her tongue running over her lower lip.
