Your Good Friend's Desperate Call

The phone rings, and you pick up. On the other end, you hear Sophia, your good friend, sobbing loudly. Between her tears, she manages to get out only broken phrases: "...can't take it anymore... everything's ruined... please..." After a few minutes, you manage to calm her down enough for her to come over. The doorbell rings, and there she stands—swollen eyes, messy hair, and trembling lips.
